Neither song particularly stands out but both were included on the Young Lust compilation from 2001, which again is a compilation that focuses only on the Geffen years, but that time around they included songs from Done With Mirrors. The band recorded two new songs for this release: “Walk On Water” (which sounds like something that could’ve been on Nine Lives) and “Blind Man”. Like I said, the album was good for what it is, I played this one a lot when I was a teenager but it is completely obsolete these days. During these Geffen years, the band went from a hard rock band with a classic sound to a pop-metal band. Older Aerosmith fans will probably be disappointed with this release because it focuses solely on the music the band made while signed with Geffen Records and even ignores the first Geffen release Done With Mirrors. Of course, I was well aware of Aerosmith long before this release and it was hard to avoid their music once they collaborated with Run DMC and exploded all over MTV. I was very much a “just play me the hits” kind of guy when just getting introduced to a band. If there was a band I wanted to check out and they had a greatest hits album then I bought it to get the most bang for my buck. I snatched this one up during my greatest hits phase. Steven Tyler – Vocals, Keyboards, Harmonica, Mandolin This has all the best hits from that era.Aerosmith – Big Ones (1994, Geffen Records) If you dont want to invest in one of AEROSMITHs box sets,then you might want to get BIG ONES for all their mid 80s-94. These were the hit songs that got them back on their feet like "Dude Is Like A Lady", "Love In An Elevator", Eat The Rich", "Cryin" and "Janies Got A Gun"! Into the 90s band member Steven Tyler and his boys returned from hard times with a whole approach and new musical career direction. It was the groups comeback moment since they suffered from their own turblent time in the late 80s they had. Now this was something completely different for Aerosmith. This is Aerosmiths geffen recording years collection! Hard and slow pieces goes together and sometimes it is too long to sweet. Enjoy! If something could be better - the order of the songs. I believe it is the great choice from the best Aerosmith time. I would consider that one of Aerosmiths Big Ones. Im disappointed that "Sweet Emotion" was not included on this album. It Rocks! I Disagree with the comment about gayrock, Aerosmith are the greatest. I think this cd contains some of the best songs ever written.
